Tuesday, March 24th

Our morning started out "as usual" with breakfast on the rooftop of our hotel- the weather here is perfect all day, everyday... at least this time of year. We are loving all the warm sunshine! Today we worked at the church all day and practiced for this evening's worship service all afternoon. It is so fun to watch our students interact, despite a language barrier for most. It truly doesn't seem to get in the way and they have all become good friends. My personal favorite part of the day was when we divided up boys/girls and had some great conversations about what it was like to be a teenager here in the DR. The Dominicans also loved getting to find out more about American life. Amazing conversations took place and our students left in awe of the Dominican's commitment to Christ and their church. We left knowing these people can teach US a lot!!! What a gift to get to talk with them. Our evening ended with a BANG- these people worship like no others. You just simply can't imagine the energy in this church. They were so encouraging to us as we all performed and loved learning a song in English that our students were able to teach them. Words just simply can't describe the evening, so I'll just finish there and start uploading some photos!
